Kai and I have been couped up in the house the past couple of days.... and now that she is better, we throw a tea party! Bologna and cheese sandwiches (so bad for you... but man there are days it just hits the spot!), blueberries, mandarin oranges, chips and apple juice! As we sit... my eyes gaze around.... and I tell her to wait as I get my camera to take a picture of our lovely set up. She patiently waits as I take about a zillion shots of our tea party. Gosh I love this girl! She knows the drill and lets me do my thing. Days like these I treasure..... our quiet moments, our tea parties.

If you want to understand in layman’s terms the nitty gritty of Exposure, Aperture, ISO, and everything in between…. the Pioneer Woman blog is your savior. She has a wealth of information and explains it to you as if you have been longtime buddies. She holds weekly photography assignments – and the most amazing breath taking photographs are displayed... talk about inspiration on a silver platter. As you read some of her entries you’ll find yourself laughing along with her as tells her tale for the day…talking about her kids or her husband whom she so lovingly refers to as ‘Marlboro Man’.  I must insist you visit the other ‘wings’ on her blog….. loads of good stuff! A frequent detour for me is the cooking section… drool central baby!

The picture above made it as a finalist for one of her photogaphy assignments! I was grinning ear to ear....jumping up and down.... texting, emailing, calling anyone who would listen all about it. A fricken amazing feeling!
