I am a journal junkie… I have more notebooks than I care to count. It started years ago….. when I was watching Oprah. You know that moment when you’re feeling a little down and someone says just the right thing to jump start emotional wanting. That show did it for me. She said, pull out a notebook and write down every little thing you want to do in life… every little material item you’d like to have…what you want in a partner… everything….just write it and put it away. I did, that night over 10 years ago. Back then I was a single mom so my material list was rather long. I had silly things on there like a down comforter and matching bedroom set and more serious wants like ‘quit smoking’. I have been able to cross items off my list with the exception of two. Trip to Paris and lose 20lbs (both will remain on the list). Last night I went through my goals and added to my wish list (sorry, this will stay close to my heart until they have come true - kinda like making a wish before you blow out your birthday candles). Ten years ago, my list for what I wanted in a partner was very long and very detailed. Fast forward to today and eight years with Bill.... I have never been happier and his kisses still give me butterflies.
